Is mainstream news edited, censored or practicing omittance to avoid conflict of interest in advertising?

Question by Think Outside the Ballot Box: Is mainstream news edited, censored or practicing omittance to avoid conflict of interest in advertising?
For example, would Fox News run a segment forecasting a decline or stagnation in the value of gold when several major gold dealers pay for so much advertising on the network?
@Truthseeker, I think you completely misunderstood the question. Let me rephrase the details for clarification: This is an example and hasn’t actually happened. If there was a very prominent economist claiming that gold prices were about to plummet and to “get out now,” would Fox News (or any network) air a segment on it despite having so much sponsorship from companies that rely on the sale of gold?

Quincy Jones Interview Part 1 of 2

Ok. I have a dilemma. Probably the most played VHS tape in the history of mankind, my copy of “Ghostbusters”, has a few minutes of stuff at the end of it: a few commercials (Not enough for a volume by itself) and a totally rad interview with Quincy Jones conducted by Ed Bradley on 60 Minutes. So I thought I’d present a few minutes of unedited 80′s TV goodness. This all aired on December 8th, 1985 on CBS. 1. Mazda 626 (With James Garner!) 2. Promo for “Murder She Wrote” and “Circus Of The Stars” (With Bea Arthur, Dick Clark, Merv Griffin and Burt Lancaster) 3. 60 Minutes (About his early career with Lionel Hampton’s band playing trumpet, and his career as a music producer on albums like “Off The Wall” and “Thriller”)

tiger and monkey

www.executivebachelors.com The Bengal tiger, or Royal Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris or Panthera tigris bengalensis), is a subspecies of tiger primarily found in Bangladesh, India, and also Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and southern Tibet.[1] It has traditionally been considered the second largest subspecies after the Siberian tiger, but Northern Bengals may indeed rival Siberian tigers in size. It is the most common tiger subspecies, living in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, subtropical and tropical rainforests, scrub forests, wet and dry deciduous forests, and mangroves. It is the national animal of Bangladesh, while Panthera tigris (Tiger) is the national animal of India [2].

Conservatives, how many of you are buying that gold they are advertising on Fox News so rapidly?

Question by Your Opinion Matters: Conservatives, how many of you are buying that gold they are advertising on Fox News so rapidly?
If you watch Fox News, you know what I’m talking about. They tell you how the dollar sucks and gold is in, most likely because they don’t expect you to actually research and think you believe everything you hear.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-04-06/gold-drops-as-dollar-s-gain-four-week-high-prices-spur-sales.html

It was a bad investment when you bought it with the U.S. dollar that gained value over it.
For those saying I don’t understand economics, I think you don’t understand the purpose of this question.

It has nothing to do with gold. It is about how the U.S. dollar is remaining strong even though you are all saying that it’s not.

Gold is an excellent long-term investment.
