Why is yahoo allowing ads and news summary to obscure parts of email messages?

Question by Patt H: Why is yahoo allowing ads and news summary to obscure parts of email messages?
Lately a fashion ad is popping up on left side of email screen to obscure portions of email messages. Who is programing this? And I do not want the news summary on my email page. It appears before I can click on INBOX and usually freezes so that I have to Restart computer every time.

Those are rollover ads, activated when your mouse passes over them. If you look closely… there’s a “close” option… often hard to see, but it’s there. They “allow” it because advertising is what allows us to get many Yahoo services for free.

I post on unmoderated Usenet groups. Not only the specific user/s change subject line, they also say “SPAM” only on message body. What can I say on the Usenet when this victimisation happens?

One way may be to contact with the webmaster and sent him some screenshots as attachment which you posted and unfortunately marked as spam. They should take necessary actions.

FAIL!!! Bad YouTube Spam Messages

I look at annoying YouTube spam messages promising 2k subs and the the spammers who sent them. Feel free to vent in the comments below! www.alejandroinaustin.com According to Wikipedia “Spam is the use of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast media, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social networking spam, television advertising and file sharing network spam. Spamming remains economically viable because advertisers have no operating costs beyond the management of their mailing lists, and it is difficult to hold senders accountable for their mass mailings. Because the barrier to entry is so low, spammers are numerous, and the volume of unsolicited mail has become very high. The costs, such as lost productivity and fraud, are borne by the public and by Internet service providers, which have been forced to add extra capacity to cope with the deluge. Spamming has been the subject of legislation in many jurisdictions. People who create electronic spam are called spammers.” en.wikipedia.org Tags: fail youtube spam yt messages message how to get more subscribers mail privacy bug virus spammer anti-spam
