Question by Freedom: What program or service do you recommend for a usenet search engine?
Hello,
I am very new to usenet. I’ve got a bandwidth limit (250 Gigabytes comcast) that I am trying to maintain, I’ve discovered that downloading the headers for newsgroups that I subscribe to can be massive. I discovered that there is a usenet search engine or two (hopefully more). The two that I have tried are grabit and usenet explorer. Both seem to do the job well, however I slightly lean more towards favoring grabit, their program seems faster, easier to use and their search seems more complete. I am hoping that there are more than these two to pick from, if you know of any, I’d love to hear about them.
Thank you.

There are several good search engines for usenet, some require a small fee (usually a few dollars a month), while others are free. There is a good list of search engines here: http://binarynewshowto.com/resources – this site also has good general usenet / newsgroups tutorials.
