Where should I spend my advertising dollar?

Question by Allison: Where should I spend my advertising dollar?
I haven’t had a job in a few months and need to advertise. I am allocating some monies for this purpose, but I don’t want to pay for something that isn’t going to be effective. I have heard about pay-per-click, but I don’t know if that is effective. Give me your ideas/suggestions. Thanks!

Do not spend your money on advertising. Let the employers do the advertising. Check the local news papers for jobs, the Internet, and apply at employment agencies. Your advertising is a waste of money.

How long should you wait to advertise a lost cat?

Question by John S: How long should you wait to advertise a lost cat?
My cat followed me up the road at 8pm last night. Then she crossed a busy main road and ran off. She was missing last night and I went to look for her at 1am without finding her.
The good news is she has just walked in at 2pm after being missing for 18 hours.

If it happens again how long should I wait to be sure she is missing. She loves being an outdoor cat so don’t say I should keep her indoors.

Answer by dawnallison817
“She loves being an outdoor cat”. Hope she also enjoys the prospect of being splattered on the “busy main road” or poisoned by a neighbor with an antifreeze leak. If your seriously this insistent on being irresponsible with regard to your cats safety why would you care about advertising her as lost?

Should news networks have to disclose how much advertising revenue they bring in from each political candidate?

Question by For Your Information: Should news networks have to disclose how much advertising revenue they bring in from each political candidate?
It would seem there is definitely an incentive for many major news networks to play soft ball with the president because he will have a billion dollars in the bank to advertise with next year.

Media outlets make money selling advertisements.

@fush ya…….”Shouldn’t people be smart enough to see it themselves?”

I don’t know about “should”, I just know what people currently are. Uninformed and getting manipulated on a daily basis is the tip of the iceberg. The news media is only perpetuating the problem.

Nobody else can tell you what would make you happy. But if making money is a major concern of yours, go for advertising and forget the others. Musical theatre is a very risky, very competitive field, and journalism is really struggling right now.

Should Fox News face a Civil Action Lawsuit for FALSE ADVERTISING?

Fox News claims to be “fair and balanced” and a “news station”, yet they lie about their ratings (Rick Sanchez’s 3:00pm show on CNN is the NUMBER ONE rated cable show on TV, despite Fox News’ claims). Fox News refuses to report on ANY story that makes the right-wing look bad. Fox News is a JOKE, they spread nothing but lies, hate, and most of all, fear-mongering.. the fact that they call themselves “fair and balanced” is a lie and false advertising. they are a private company, can’t they be sued?

yes, there is a freedom of speech in the country.. but you can’t go around inciting hate. cults are broken up because of this. you can’t threaten the President’s life, that is against the law.. yet Fox News encourages their followers to hate the President.
example: “Bush has hate in his heart” hate = noun. i LOVE when people try to make me look dumb by using misinformation and lies.. it reminds me of Fox News.
ND Fan.. hate is also a NOUN. don’t attempt to insult my intelligence. my IQ is triple any Conservative’s IQ. get real.

They drag democrats through the dirt, but how many stories on McCain have you seen? They are trying there best to hurt Obama with the Rev. Wright footage. However, it won’t because democrats don’t watch Fox news.

You’re obviously not new so you must have another reason for asking. But I’d say internet security is priority. Teach them about Nortons or whatever they have. Especially the anti-virus program. Download ccleaner for them. Download Adaware for them. Show them how they work. Teach them to never click on links from people or sites they don’t know. My dad was a “newbie” two years ago and had his paypal account hacked. Tell them to neverrrr give out any info. That’s a good start.
