Grabit UseNet Tutorial – How to download NZB files with Grabit Newsgroups for Free!

If you have problems, please message me, don’t comment. Watch in HD (720p) I get an average download speed of 1.5MB’s per second! Your speed will depend on your internet connection. News-Server… newsfarm.ams2.shemes.com Links… Download Grabit here: www.shemes.com Download NZB’s here www.nzbmatrix.com Get rewarded for searching the web! See my new video… http Enjoy! ************************************************************************************ POSSIBLE ERRORS: ************************************************************************************ ****COMMUNICATION ERROR*** That’s probably because you need to get your own ISP’s usenet server. (for example if you’re on virgin media, you would use news.virginmedia.net instead of newsfarm.ams2.shemes.com) so you need to call your internet provider and ask what their usenet server is. You may even require a username and password which they will provide. ***ARTICLE NOT FOUND*** This is because you can only download NZB’s that have recently been uploaded, if you want to download older ones you have to pay for a different new server. Just search NZB’s via date so that the most recent results show up, you should be able to download most of them, For older files I use torrents but torrents are slower unfortunately. how to download binary files?

Question by Noel: how to download binary files?
I learned that you can get the max out of your internet speed if you find a way to download binary files. all i know is that you need some kind of usenet client like ‘Unison’, a search site and some kind of subscription. If someone could elaborate on this it would be really helpful.

Answer by Odwin Oddball
A binary file covers every file you could download other than a simple text file. This would include all programs, pictures, movies, anything that is not plain text.

Usenet is a collection of newsgroups, each group consisting of posts about a specific topic. Some of these groups deal with the sharing of files, from pictures and movies, to games and other applications.

Usenet however is slowly fading away. Many ISPs no longer provide direct access to it anymore, instead users must find third party newsgroup severs, which generally require a subscription.

Here’s an article about usenet, including some links to public servers.

However this part of your question “I learned that you can get the max out of your internet speed” is computer neophyte nonsense. You misunderstood what someone was telling you.

Why are so many rar files showing up on usenet that are password protected?

Question by -David P-: Why are so many rar files showing up on usenet that are password protected?
There are tons of recently updated rar files on usenet that are password protected. How can we tell the legitimate posts from the malicious ones?

Best answer:

Answer by Francis
RAR files are compressed archive files containing one or more other files. These files also support password-protection, encrypting the files for greater security. While there is no method to extract the password from a RAR file, many programs are designed to automatically try a large amount of possible passwords on the RAR file until one works. Recover a rar password by downloading and running a third-party password-recovery tool.
one of best choice is RAR Password recovery 5.0 which proved to be an effective way to recover lost or forgotten rar file passwords.for more info:

How do I get binary files from usenet groups?

Question by Belen D: How do I get binary files from usenet groups?
I have tried outlook express and mozilla’s thunderbird and I have access to newsgroups, but whenever I try to get a file that has been parted in several entries, I only get a bunch of nonsensical text. I think it has to do with something that is called yENC.
Do you know how to get the files with these applications? Or do I need to get a new one? If so, which one have you tried and is good (and preferably free)?
Thanks!

yes i use binary newsgroups
but most isp newsgroups suck
most is free stuff but u need to pay for a real news service
if u contact me ill give u the rundown.

basicly, the files are broken into lots of text, then reassembled at your end. once setup, its only a matter of search, downlod the files in a batch. unzip and u have wat u want.

how do i view yenc split media files? wmv.001 etc?

Question by Andy W: how do i view yenc split media files? wmv.001 etc?
For two days now, ive been trying to figure this out, and things just keep getting worse.
i have downloaded some yenc wmv.001 files, but i cant view them. they are not .par or .rar, they are wmv.001, wmv.002 etc.
i have a yenc joiner (yenc 32), i have a video joiner (avi, mpeg, rm, wmv), but the video joiner says it cant find the multi media file, and the yenc joiner says theres no yenc document in the folder…
what do i have to do to view them?
is it the fault of my x-news usenet reader?

go and download a program ‘hjsplit’.

then join the file. your files must have the first file as .001.

search for hjsplit at yahoo search engine.
