Get Your Book in the News: How to Write a Press Release That Announces Your Book

Every book (and author) needs a press release that announces the book’s arrival. It is the essential media relations tool that accompanies review copies or tells the media and other key influencers that your book is available.

And yet, too many authors (and some publishers) don’t know how to write one that communicates the right information to the right people. This is usually because they aren’t clear on the purpose of their press release and what information they should or shouldn’t include. As a result, they lose valuable opportunities for exposure by distributing a document that doesn’t have the right information in the accepted and expected format.

“Get Your Book in the News: How to Write a Press Release That Announces Your Book” teaches you — step-by-step — how to write a press release for your book launch that isn’t a waste of time, energy, and money. You won’t just learn how to do it, though. You’ll also learn (and understand) why you should do it and why you should do it a specific way.

You’ll discover common mistakes and how to avoid them. You will learn from a “before” and “after” editing experience – a bad example turned into a good one. And you’ll get examples from several genres to use for guidance when you write your own book announcement press release.

If you follow the instructions in this book, your book’s press release will be an effective tool you can use to gain priceless media and other exposure for your book.

A blog

It says info will be available Tuesday morning at

gm-volt.com

There was a similar projection on Market St

And the message wasn’t even clear. It was supposed to be what is 230?

But I didn’t read it that way. I found the site by typing 23 Plug 8-11 into google.

The smiley faced plug doesn’t read as a zero to me.

At least google made some (taxpayer) money on it since I clicked on GM’s sponsored link.

This screenshot was on the main What is 230? site most of Saturday (and is still up on Sunday)

CyberAlert Launches RushClipsTM New High Speed News Monitoring Service DeliversToday’s Press Clips Promptly Throughout the Day from 3,500 News Sources Worldwide

Stratford, CT (PRWEB) March 11, 2004

CyberAlert, Inc., a leading worldwide media monitoring service, today announced the launch of RushClipsTM, a new high speed news monitoring and press clipping service that automatically delivers today’s news clips promptly throughout the business day, often within minutes of publication.

The RushClips service monitors over 3,500 online news sources repeatedly during the business day and automatically delivers e-mail alerts with new clips throughout the day, enabling public relations and marketing professionals to keep watch on the day’s most-recently published news articles about their company, its brands, people and competitors.

“In delivering today’s press clips from throughout the world, RushClips represents a notable improvement over traditional press clipping services which don’t have such wide-ranging media coverage and take days or weeks to deliver news clips,” stated William J. Comcowich, President and CEO of CyberAlert. “Best of all, the RushClips service is considerably less expensive than conventional press clipping services which usually charge steep premiums for faster delivery.”

The RushClips service also incorporates once-a-day overnight clip delivery from 10,000 additional news sources in 17 languages. In total, RushClips monitors 13,000+ media outlets worldwide each day.

Once delivered, the press clippings are stored in a “Digital Clip BookTM”, an exclusive service of CyberAlert that safely keeps clips in a central database accessed through a password-protected Web site. The digital clip storage enables RushClips subscribers to easily sort, search, distribute and manage news clips.

“RushClips fills a vital need in today’s business environment where quick response to news stories is often crucial to PR and marketing success,” Comcowich said. “The RushClips’ alerts to breaking news from a wide variety of news sources enables public relations, public affairs, and marketing teams to quickly assess the reach and impact of news stories and to respond appropriately,” he concluded.

RushClips is a subscription service. More information about RushClips is available at http://www.cyberalert.com/rushclips.html.
